I'm honoured to recieve the Cologne Jazzprize (Horst & Gretl Will Stipendium 
for Jazz and Improvised Music) this year.

On this occasion there will be concert at Stadtgarten Cologne September 24th 
with my band Fosterchild and possibly some solo stuff. Would love to see you there!

March 22nd will be the release of FOSTERCHILD on Tangible Music! I’m very glad to be able to do this project together with my longtime close friend Fabian Arends. Also we got some phenomenal musicians to play with us on this one such as Sebastian Gille, Kasper Tranberg, Philip Zoubek, Simon Nabatov, Elisabeth Coudoux just to name a few.

You can listen to some tracks already as a pre-release. A few with this one coming up in May. Check it out.

Very glad to announce Marek Johnson’s EP release! It’s available on bandcamp (if you want to support us) and other internet things.

Since an increasing part of victimy people all over the world are awakening again to their nationalist dreams and devoting themselves to their fear, projecting their pathetic beings and self hatred onto other people it’s even more important to create stuff that doesn’t smell like moldy humanity and at least try to get the fuck over yourself.

So here’s a little update about some of my attempts.

The Philip Zoubek Trio releases it’s first album „Outside“ on WhyPlayJazz in Oktober.

Jonas Engel’s OWN YOUR BONES recorded a new album in the lovely La Buissonne Studio in August. It’ll probably take ages till it get’s released so here’s an entertaining video.

 

Fabian Arends and me got to record some of our music in the Deutschlandfunk with Sebastian Gille, Kasper Tranberg, Philip Zoubek, Simon Nabatov and some special guests!

There will be another DLF recording date with Jacob Anderskov, Tranberg and Gille in November. Stay tuned!

The MAREK JOHNSON EP „Stay Low“ will be released on Tangible Music in the kind of near future.
